Hello, I'm Tina, and I'm So Glad You're Here.

I've made it my life's work to help women like you improve their health and well-being through therapeutic yoga and personalized training. Let me share a bit about my story and what drives my passion for empowering women to become stronger, more confident, and liberated from pain.

My Journey Through Midlife

My own journey through midlife has been a rollercoaster ride of challenges and lessons. In my early forties, at the peak of my athletic activities and personal training career, I suffered a persistent hamstring injury followed by a bad ankle sprain. This forced me to stop running marathons and ease off my active yoga practice.

Then, in my late forties, I found myself in a body I didn't recognize. I was full-throttle into menopause, experiencing a staggering 26 out of 34 symptoms that seemed never-ending. To top it all off, I received the devastating news of an osteoporosis diagnosis, despite years of a healthy and active lifestyle that should have prevented it. Even after consulting numerous specialists and doctors for my mysterious and not-so-mysterious ailments, I often felt misdiagnosed, unsupported, and left to navigate the situation on my own.

A Deeper Understanding of Healing

I've always held a deep belief in the wisdom and resilience of the human body, which made it especially perplexing and frustrating when my own body struggled to heal. Motivated by this inconsistency, I set out on a journey to explore the unique challenges women over 40 confront. My aim was to uncover the most effective methods for preserving bone and muscle mass, as well as promoting overall health and strength during this pivotal phase of life.

Despite learning a great deal, I still had chronic pain in my hamstring. So, I delved deeper into my yoga studies, dedicating myself to continuous learning, training, and practice, culminating in a 1000-hour Yoga Therapy certification. This certification, akin to a master's degree, illuminated my true passion and innate talent: assisting individuals in overcoming chronic pain that hasn’t responded to conventional treatments.

By applying the healing methods I had learned, releasing past traumas, and gaining a deep connection to my multi-dimensional self, I finally alleviated the pain in my hamstring that initially set me on this path. I learned an important lesson that I want to share with you: chronic pain is often multi-faceted, stemming from issues in the mind, body, and spirit. That's why a holistic approach is essential for healing. Embracing myself as a multi-dimensional being has given me the ability to heal and truly enjoy this chapter of my life with resilience and strength.

My Commitment to You

I'm excited and committed to sharing my knowledge with you, to guide and support you in navigating the journey of aging. From managing chronic pain to preserving bone density and improving strength, balance, and mobility – nobody should have to face these challenges alone.

Beyond the Studio

When I’m not working or focusing on my fitness goals, I enjoy going on adventures: discovering new hikes, traveling the world, trying new experiences, or hunting for the perfect latte. Most of all, I find joy in spending quality time with my family and friends. These activities are the “spice of life” for me and the reason I continue to make my health a priority.

Thanks for getting to know me a little better. I'm eager to hear your story as well, so please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's connect and take on this journey together.
